Axalta Coating Systems presented during the International Congress of Aluminum Exposition 2016 (CIAYyE2016) held August 10-13, 2016 at the Fiesta Americana in Queretaro, Mexico.

Mike Withers, Axalta Architectural Segment Leader, gave a technical session on August 12 titled, Coating Technologies in the Architecture Segment. It explained powder coating applications, levels of powder coating performance and he presented an in-depth look at Axalta’s aluminum-applicable primers and coatings. The presentation also highlighted international architectural paint specifications for aluminum use as well as Axalta’s innovations for the aluminum coatings industry.

“This event allows Axalta to showcase our powder coatings and express why they are an excellent choice for projects, since they are designed for extreme weatherability, durability, and attractiveness,” said Withers. “It was also a great opportunity to connect with leaders in the field and learn first-hand the current challenges and innovations in the aluminum industry.”

The annual exposition is organized by Aluminum Institute AC (IMEDAL) for aluminum industry professionals in Mexico to share information, and network with each other as well as with scholars, researchers, teachers, educational institutions and national and international organizations. IMEDAL strives to be the link between consumers and producers and to generate, promote, and communicate knowledge and best practices in the aluminum field.
